The Countdown is On

Well, it's Friday night, almost midnight, and I have been going over and over all the things I need to do before 7:30 Monday morning. We have had a really good week (although tiring). All the doctors have done their things and everyone says we are 'good to go'. We have had some good news also. We were told yesterday that the surgery will probably last 4-5 hours instead of 8-10. Also, the two surgeons have decided not to go all the way to her pelvis, but to stop two vertebrae above her pelvis. This will help with her recovery, and it will allow for more mobility in her spine. We are all for more mobility! Oh, another thing is that the anterior (front) portion of the release will be done orthoscopically through her side and she will not have to be moved during the surgery. Praise the Lord. All the prayers you all have offered up are being answered already!! Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you.!! We love you all and thank you for your support!

May you feel true peace that comes only from Him. Here is a cool scripture verse for you.....Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord we have an everlasting Rock! Isaiah 26:4
He is your Rock Shelby...and He will carry you through your surgery and recovery. We can't wait to hear more about you on your blog.

Hi Shelby!
We have known your Mom and Dad a long time! Gary is an aggie and he and Lee Anne went to church with your parents at Westbury while they were dating! Lee Anne is a nurse and came to visit you and Taylor a lot when you were itty bitty babies in the hosptital. You might remember Amy from youth stuff, she is 14! Anyway, we will be praying for you throughout these next weeks and especially Monday during your surgery. God has taken care of you your whole life, loving and protecting you! We KNOW He will be faithful to continue... and we will be praying to remind Him of this EVERY DAY!

Love, The Robbins Family, Gary, Lee Anne, Amy and Wesley

Precious Shelby, Mike, Kim, Taylor & Kendall--
You have The Great Physician, our Father God, who made you! We are asking Him to "hold your hands" and lift your spirits through this surgery and the days ahead.
Shelby, God knew you while He was making you in your Mother's womb. He knows your name. In Isaiah 49:16
He tells us your name is written in the palms of His hands (all our names are).He is definitely here with you, with all of us! What a Father! The same Jesus who walked upon this earth and "calmed the raging storm" is the same today who can give us all the peace that passes all undrstanding.
PA and I (Tom and I) ask Him to help you all to feel the warmth of His love and ours. God watch over us as we go through this journey.

We'll love all of yu forever.
PA and MiMi

Shelby,
I went to church at Westbury CofC with your Mom and Dad (Hi, Mike and Kim) and met your Aunt Amy & Uncle Matt last month. How about that? Dear Shelby,

Mark asked me to drop you a note and tell you that he is so excited for you! He said to tell you to look forward to seeing things more easily with less effort, to being able to hold your head up without getting so tired, to being able to see where you are going, to being able to look someone in the eyes while you are talking, to being able to see the board and the overhead in school, to being able to eat and drink without so much trouble, to being able to see someone down the hall before they see you, to being able to sit up tall and being so much more comfortable in your chair and to being able to share your smile and the light of the Lord that you have in you heart! He also told me to tell you that it makes it easier to see the Cheerleaders, but I told him that you wouldn't care about that! God bless you, Honey!
