Day5

Good Morning,

Shelby had a very fitful night again After the two X-Rays and all the activity from yesterday I thought she would really sleep but she was so uncomfortable with the gas build up in her system and she was unable to move because her small intestines were still asleep. My last converstion with her Ortho team was that the tube would stay inplace until there were some major changes. I was very disappointed for her! When I spoke to her this moring she said they were going to pull her tube. During the night she was creating a postive change shall we say. God sure created a miricle in the human body. There is no question that our creation was not by happenstance. (Do you like that word?) We trully pray she has turned a big corner. She has just been so sick. I will try to update this afternoon before Mike goes home for the evening. Tomorrow is Kendall's 9th Birthday. Shelby is excited about finally getting to see her sisters.

Love to all,

Kim

Shelby,
When you close your eyes, picture yourself lying in God's arms. He is holding you and watching you with tears in His eyes for your pain. And His arms are the strongest, gentlest, most capable arms that could hold you. Snuggle down in them and rest, precious girl.

Kim and Mike,
Don't forget that those same arms that are holding Shelby are holding you, too. They are holding you up, strengthening you. When you lean down to kiss Shelby, He is leaning down with you. When you are having to do the more difficult things that cause Shelby pain, He is beside you helping you. Allow Him to comfort you, His children, as you comfort your own child.

Much love,
The Williams'

Shelby,
We have "caught up" on you by reading each day's report. Thank you for sharing with us this way. We pray for your quick recovery and for all the pain to go away. If you decide to change blood types again (!) mine is A- and I will share with you. It has served me well. Ha.
Love,
Aunt Mary and Uncle Jack

Dear Shelby,

I am so glad that I got to talk with you yesterday--it was so wonderful to hear your sweet voice! You are such an inspiration--always keep that wonderful, brave spirit. We are praying all the time for your pain to be eased. I know that God has surrounded you with special angels.

I know that you will by so glad to see your sweet sisters. I can only imagine that it is very hard for all of you to be apart.

Get out in those halls and run 'em down in your power chair. You go girl!

We love you!

Good Morning Sweet People and Shelby--
My Sunday school class listened intently 2 weeks ago as I explained who I wanted
them to pray for and the importance of the upcoming procedure. They ask for updates. God is hearing from Memphis Tn. Many people here love you even though they don't know you very well. They know you matter to me and most of all they know you are a child of God.
Keep up the patience! God made your body to heal, so "be still and know God's creation will heal itself".
Many of us know from our own experiences that trying to push the recovery process can perhaps destroy the healing that has already occured. There is a fine line between activity that tears down and that which builds up. Make your activity prayer - I know you're excellent at that. Much love to you, Edna

Shelby,
I hope you don't mind getting messages from old people. I'm even a couple of years older than your parents so that makes me almost ancient! I have IM'd, emailed, and text messaged people before but you are the very first person that I have ever blogged. You have been through a battle girl and you're coming out on the other side so I just had to send you a note and let you know that I've been thinking about you a lot and praying for your quick recovery. I go to church with your Aunt Amy and almost 19 years ago climbed a mountain in Tennessee with your parents. I don't know how two such crazy people could have had 3 such wonderful girls. My husband David and I have 2 girls...the oldest, Elise is a freshman at ACU and our youngest Haley is in the 8th grade at Strack Middle School in Klein. So, if they send you a message you'll know who they are. I'll write you again soon but know I think about you and your folks sooooo much and hope each day brings you a step closer to feeling better. Tell you mom and dad I send my love and know that there are a bunch of people praying for you in our neck of the woods! Later gator. Kim Padgett

We're so proud of you and so happy to hear that you are feeling somewhat better! What a blessing- and relief for Mom and Dad! God is good! Please let us know if there is anything we can do. We would LOVE to help out in any way we can. Sounds like you're going to be well taken care of with meals for awhile. Amy told me she was booked up almost through Feb.! Doesn't it feel good to be so loved? AND YOU ALL ARE! We are praying for continued strength, no pain and and quick release from the hospital! Take care. Love, The Morrow's
