Day 7 Afternoon

Second Post Today, boy I'm doing good. I have to make up for the weekend! heehee

This afternoon was really good for Shelby. She has her hair brushed and her own PJ's on. She is sitting beside me now on the 'Teen Floor' at the computer. Her doctor said 'maybe' we could go home tomorrow. She is really 'pumped' about that. Shelby wanted to be sure and let each one of you know that she REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, AND REALLY thanks you for being prayer warriors on her behalf. She said she couldn't have gone through this without each of you. Also, the 'teen room' is awesome, and we will try to come again in the morning. The food here stinks, don't try it. Mom brought me Luby's and it tasted like gold. I saved some for tomorrow.

As long as we have our pain pills we can do anything!! I'm bringing up a 'drugy' Gotto go,

Love you all

Kim and Shelby

Kim and Shelby,

GREAT to hear that Shelby may be headed home soon. Kim, I swear it must be that Luby's Cafeteria food! Oh my gosh how I miss that place. I feel like I grew up in Luby's - we ate there 2-3 times a week for more than a year when I was younger. Their Coconut Merange Pie was to die for! :)

Get well soon, hon, and go get full of Luby goodness. :)

It is so good to hear that Shelby is feeling better. God is good and he does answer prayers. Shelby keep up the good work at getting better. I know it feels like your climbing up heal, but the good part is that God is right there ready to carry you when you get to tired. Take the pain meds. Pain meds are good. It's all good when your on pain meds! I will continue to lift up your precious self to the great physician. He no doubt has great plans for you. For now rest and heal my sweet one. My Precious Shelby--
What a 'trooper' you are! It's been such a rough week! To watch you suffer as you have and you've tried to be so positive. Ryan said when you were barely able to speak to him by phone on his birthday last Friday, "Shelby, you're my inspiration" It really touched him and I couldn't believe you had the strength and energy to have me call him. You, no matter what, are always thinking of others. You are one amazing young lady! You have no idea how you are loved and what a blessing you are to all who know you.
I love the way your Mom and Dad decorated your room and door. Taylor added her special touches yesterday and then Taylor and Kendall decorated little Gabby's door for her two doors down. God has toughed many lives in many ways, through you Shelby.
This morning when you called, I asked how you'd slept amd you said, "like an angel". You Shelby, are an angel! You give me strength and courage everyday of my life. Thank you for being such a beautiful, loving granddaughter. PA and I love you beyond words!

We love you forever, PA & MiMi

Dear Shelby,

You've made it through the worst of it! Yeah! We are really excited about getting you back home. We will make sure you have yummy food and a comfy bed waiting. We are so glad God has answered our prayers for all you've already overcome. We will keep praying!!! FYI...Wayne's mom, my parents, my sister in Dallas, the Staelen's family in Tennessee and the Gallatin's in Montgomery have all been asking about you and praying for you, too. We all love you and want you to heal quickly.
